Julio was a 30-year-old energetic, passionate, caring, loving, outgoing person, who loved and lived every moment of his life to the fullest. He dedicated his life and career to helping others as a lifeguard, paramedic, firefighter, and Pediatric ER RN. As a paramedic and Pediatric ER nurse, Julio was no stranger to saving the lives of others through donation. As a family, the decision to donate his organs, tissue, and eyes after his tragic passing was simplified by the fact that we already knew his wishes. Additionally, for us, we wanted something positive to come out of such a senseless tragedy something to tell his daughter of his gifts to others. Julio lives on through his 4 organ donations and over 100 tissue grafts.
