ABOUT THE IMPACT OF ORGAN, EYE, AND TISSUE DONATION!
We have the power to change millions of lives by discussing the impact of donating and sharing our decisions. Legacy Donor Services Foundation, in collaboration with bluapple Poetry Network, the Jason Taylor Foundation, and Donate Life Florida, is thrilled to introduce a Teen Poetry Slam. This event aims to engage poets like you in sparking conversations about the gift of life. Will you join us for this meaningful poetry slam?
Who can Participate:
7th through 12th graders enrolled in Florida Schools
How to Enter:
Poets are required to prepare at least one poem themed around “Donate Life: Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donation,” with a duration of no less than ninety (90) seconds and no more than three (3) minutes. Submissions must include the poem and a video of your performance, both submitted through the online portal by October 10, 2024, along with the completed application. Please do not share your entry poem or the entry poem video prior to a winner being selected on November 9, 2024.
Winner Selection:
10 Finalists will be chosen and notified via email and text message by October 18, 2024.
What’s next:
The finalists will perform their entry themed “Donate Life: Organ, Eye, and Tissue Donation” in Round One of the Teen Poetry Slam. From the ten (10) poets, five (5) will advance to the finals, where they will perform an original poem of their choice.
