Delaney Marquez of Pensacola, FL was born 1981 and died 40 years later from heart disease.
He pursued a 25-year career in food service in Florida, South Carolina and California. The highlight of this pursuit was working alongside his brother, Damian Wanek for several years, cheffing at the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta, Georgia. He was taught the art of sushi from an Asian Master while living in California.
Delaney was always on the move-his brother refers to him as Saint Delaney because he didn’t always have much but would help those who had less especially those who were unsheltered.
Damian and Delaney were brothers and friends and Damian admired him for his abilities not only in culinary world but also surfing, skateboarding, writing, disc golf, and music.
Delaney was a son, a brother, an uncle, a nephew, a cousin, and a friend. He is especially missed by his Aunt Peggy and Uncle Mike. Thank you for the opportunity to remember all he was. Wini Murphy Marques AKA Mom
