Douglas Daniel Grasso was born on October 16th, 1946, the second of two sons born to Alice and Domenic Grasso in Waterbury Connecticut. His father’s jobs took them around the country where they settled in Ashland Ohio. He attended Ohio state and soon after graduation enlisted in the USMCR where he received numerous citations and air medals while serving in Vietnam. While stationed at Kaneohe Marine Corps Air Station in Hawaii he met and fell in love with Ann and married a year later with the union lasting over 50 years with the blessing of having eight children. Douglas cherished his retirement years spending time with his growing family of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be remembered for his devotion to family, his unwavering faith, and unparalleled humor. His impact on those around him will continue to resonate for generations to come.
