Miami, Fla. – March 26, 2026 – Legacy Donor Services Foundation proudly welcomed community
leaders and donor program South Florida Donor Network for a special Community Leaders Day event,
officially launching National Donate Life Month. Held at Legacy's tissue bank, the private tour and
meeting provided an opportunity to spark meaningful conversations, share innovative ideas, and
strengthen partnerships aimed at increasing awareness of organ, eye, and tissue donation throughout
South Florida.

Community leaders, media representatives, elected officials, and donation advocates gathered to learn
more about the lifesaving and healing impact of donation and discuss ways to engage the public during
National Donate Life Month. Their support and advocacy play a critical role in helping educate the
community and encouraging donor registration.

Today, more than 100,000 people across the nation are waiting for a life-saving transplant, including
more than 6,000 Floridians. Through collaboration and community engagement, Legacy Donor Services
Foundation remains committed to bringing hope to those waiting and inspiring more individuals to
register as donors.

“National Donate Life Month is an opportunity to bring our community together around a shared mission
of hope, healing, and saving lives,” said Cris Agle, CEO of Legacy Donor Services Foundation. “By
engaging community leaders, elected officials, media partners, and donation advocates, we can expand
awareness about the critical need for organ, eye, and tissue donors. Every conversation has the potential
to inspire someone to register as a donor and ultimately help save lives.”

Legacy Donor Services Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated and help
make the meeting a success, including Senator Ana Maria Rodriguez; Alberto Rodriguez, President and
CEO of Mediaco Holdings; Martica Lopez and Eyda Perez of Cox Media Group; liver recipient Gema
Marti; and Kelley McClellan and Tyre Gray of South Florida Donor Network.
